A documentary about Du Xiaozhou, a Chinese potato farmer living with his family in the top of the Beishan Mountains situated in the Province of Qinghai. He and his family have dedicated their whole life to growing this tuber, the same as his father and the father of his father. The story follows the inherited tradition and passion for the harvest of potato, one of the main foods of the region and a main participant in the food security policy. At the same time it is an intimate portrait build by strong values of family and tradition. On the other hand story follows the journey of the potato, from its production to the mouth of the population.
