Lili, a Melbournian social worker has being in the field for some years now. She specifically treats patients who are involved in domestic violence, including victims and perpetrators. Lili is a young woman like most of the victims that she treats, and like most of the social workers in the field. As she empathizes with her patients, she is starting to experience vicarious trauma. That happens normally around her colleagues too. She says, “Social workers work very hard until they burn themselves and then they have to change work” By sharing her experience and her emotions, Lili will help us to give space for this important topic that remains so many times secret. And that shouldn't be the responsibility of some (for example social workers) but it is the responsibility of everybody. The film is about dealing with domestic violence from an outside perspective, having a focus on how work and knowledge can affect the life and emotional world of the people around it. On the other hand, how does the individual and society manage this problem. The project aims to treat the topic in an emotional and understanding way. The goal is to make an open door to this topic. Talking is the first step to combat domestic violence. There are many people who did not speak and who ended up finally dead. The film pretends to be an invitation to open our eyes to a reality that surrounds all of us and that  we all must speak about it.

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
As a result of a patriarchal culture, some men are in constantly intent of domination not only in the professional world also inside the base of society, families. Most of the cases of this domination and excessive control result in domestic violence against women. In our society, the subject is still taboo and the most vulnerable people are those who don’t speak or at the same time don’t have the space for it. One expert said that if someone comments on the subject immediately it is necessary to pay attention and help them. It is necessary to empower women and help them to speak and search for help, also to prevent them for falling in this situations.
